No-bake cake recipe!
The recipe for my Grand-Maman's no-bake cake. Please note that I've purposefully left it vague to allow you to experiment and make it your own!
Ingredients:
1 chunk of butter big like the yellow of an egg
1 egg
3/4 cups coffee (strong)
1 tablespoon vanilla
3 cups powdered sugar
4 tablespoons cocoa
1 box of Village cookies (600g) *
Steps:
Beat the butter and the egg together.
Add the coffee and vanilla.
Add the sugar and cocoa.
Add the crunched up cookies.
Spread in large pan.
Let dry for 24 hours.
Cut in pieces and serve.
* Made my Dare, the box now comes in 535 gram size! You will need about 50-55 cookies. Village cookies are hard to find outside Québec; an acceptable alternative is a combination of butter cookies and Biscoff cookies - that's how we did it in Nashville. 😀
La recette du gâteau pas-cuit!
Voici la recette tant attendue du gâteau pas-cuit de ma Grand-Maman. La recette est vague et sans détails - pour te permettre d'essayer différentes choses.
Ingrédients:
1 morceau de beurre gros comme un jaune d'oeuf
1 oeuf
3/4 tasse de café (fort)
1 cuillère à table de vanille
3 tasses de sucre en poudre
4 cuillères à table de cacao
1 boîte de biscuits Village (600g) *
Étapes:
Battre le beurre et l'oeuf.
Ajouter le café et la vanille.
Ajouter le sucre et le cacao.
Ajouter les biscuits écrasés.
Étendre dans un grand moule.
Laisser sécher 24 heures.
Couper en morceaux et servir.
* Les boîtes font maintenant 535 grammes! Il te faudra environ 50-55 biscuits. Une alternative aux biscuits Village: biscuits Maria, biscuits au beurre, biscuits Biscoff, ou une combinaison. Mais c'est vraiment pas pareil. 😋
